Hallo people of the interwebs!

Yesterday I went for a walk, then I dug for a couple hours and got a quick ride in. Today, did the same.

Now throwing a stuffed cock at the lady dog wondering what I'll do with the rest of this day.

Cable support phoned and suggest I go get a new CM from the store.

Wasted an hour doing that, it doesn't have an upstream connection either and the new POS only has two switch ports, old one had four and I used three of them.

Nice work Comcast...
New CM has "active" cooling of some kind. I can hear it from 10ft away with it in a closed closet...

Advanced technical phone support has established there's still a problem after confirming several times that I'd plugged in the power and the coax.

Given the new spot is still my basement and my email hasn't changed, I just get emails from people with more money, not a ton is different. It's just with individuals instead of individuals at their employer.

Damn, my little town just got smoked by a surprise storm.

Hail appears to be just small enough to not dent anything.

Streets and everything are coated green from leaf debris.

Fire department at the end of the street...

That hail is big enough for damage, fyi.

I mean stuff definitely got damaged, my plants for example are now shredded cabbage. :banghead:

But the truck seems fine at first glance. By chance we were in a grocery store 5 minutes away when this came through; it wasn't as severe over there so the Vag has avoided any pummeling by the gods.

Hallo again
Started applying for new jobs because I don’t know wtf I’m doing. I am guessing my company isn’t moving which would improve things, so I want to keep seeing what’s out there. There’s a peach of a job at a local big pharma (where I want to get into) and my dad-buddy just got a job there. He offered to refer me internally, but just started and has flaked out (he’s busy I’m sure)…do I wait for him, or go ahead and submit? He also offered to refresh my resume but I’m rather content with it in all honesty. I don’t want to be pushy, but I want to get my resume in before it gets filled. I guess I could just ping him again.

Otherwise, took a bunch of drugs and passed out for two hours so that was nice. Fighting a migraine is a bitch. Still looking for an EV to lease/buy

Does he get a referral fee? If so, prod him, otherwise carry on imo.

He’ll probably get a bonus, but it’s not like he’s going to have any sway with the HM. It’s more about getting my resume to the top of the list, if that’s a thing with these companies

Submit it and tell him to start moving or he'll miss out.

Either way, you gotta submit it.
