I dig 356's. There is a VW/Porsche swap meet and show at a berry farm in the middle of nowhere here in Oregon. There is also a Bug shop just down the road that had one for sale for $8k, I was very temped.

For some reason I like the Type 1 powered kits better than the real deal though. Maybe because they are cheaper to maintain.

This is a '56 oval with a '32 Ford front beam.

If I ever get around to uploading the pics from last years Good Guys show here, there were some really authentic looking Porsche powered 356 kit cars there.

There was a rotary powered speedster a few years ago at a show that caught my eye. Way too much money and effort for me, but very well done with an insane amount of power in a tiny package.

I would be happy with a kit 356 and a nice 1776cc motor. I'm simple sometimes :D
