Do it 2nd day air or so. I dont think its any more expensive, but if you go "ground" I hear they put it on a ship and it takes weeks.

My experience is that Fedex is a tad more gentle.

That experience is based on UPS being able to break what was thought unbreakable.

For Hawaii shipping I normally do USPS Priority Mail. UPS and FedEx will rape you to go there, but USPS isn't bad. Be sure to insure and do tracking on it. Should be fine.

Ah, the brief months at the UPS Store...

I prefer FedEx for stuff like that. I think you can get ground service to Hawaii with no probs. 2nd day for a fork will likely be $25- $35.
Try 50-70$.

Hawaii/Alaska are the rare exceptions to never shipping USPS domestically.
