I have been trying to justify Sidis for years now...but I am not fast/cool/rich enough. I stick to stuff that gets beat to death in a couple years and then move on. Adidas Durangos, AXO Speeders, Shimano somethingorother that I am in now. Stiff soles but the uppers are meh...
john - i've had surprisingly good luck with specialized shoes. the pair i have is 3 years old now and still going strong. and they weren't the fancy high end ones, they were just under $100
I was never able to justify Sidis but I LOVE my Mavic shoes!
Got a pair of Ergo but got them at a discount. Nice shoe and they look great and have held up great too after 3 years of riding. That said I think there are a lot of nice shoes out these days and I would shop around to see what had the fit I wanted if I was go buy new shoes. However I am sure these will last a long time.
