i picked this headline - oddly enough from my town's paper - b/c of its irony.

CU President Hank Brown said “the decision was really pretty basic” based on the school’s findings of plagiarism, falsification and other infractions involving work unrelated to Churchill’s remarks on the Sept. 11 victims

I'm only amazed that it took so long. I thought his plagiarism was an open and shut case?

Maybe he decided to be more inflammatory around 01-02 b/c he knew he was gonna get sacked and wanted some cover/controversey to dilute the obvious reasons...? Perhaps that's all that's kept him from being fired till now.
