I recently purchased a Cannondale Jekyll 3000 from a bike rental facility and I have about four rides on it. The bike was new in box and I had to assemble it myself which was not a problem.
When I was getting ready for my fifth ride I noticed that the rear brake line had a kink in it near the steerer tube. Upon closer examination and a gentle squeeze of the brake lever the line burst at the kink and belched hydraulic fluid onto the floor.
I turned the bar to the right and when I turned the bar back to the left the foam rubber doughnut dragged the brake line with it and kinked it in the process.
At this point I called a bike shop that carries Cannondale bikes and asked them if they do warrenty work. I explained the problem to them and they said they would have to talk to the Cannondale rep.
I am at the point now of not really knowing if this will be covered or not.
If anyone can give me a little feed back as to Cannondales warrenty policies that would be great.
Thanks
