Derek and I went on another WA mountain bike trip, this time over to St. Helens and Mt. Rainier, then on to Capital Forest for the All Mtn Championship Race. 9 days of riding (2 of them racing)

My summary - lots of climbing every day, lots of roots everywhere.

We started waaaaay down there and climbed up to here. This day we rode Ranger Creek and Palisades. I consider Palisades to be a pretty technical downhill with miles of roots and little drops. You would kill yourself on a hardtail. I promise.

Mt Rainier as a backdrop. We climbed forever up to this and then climbed some more before the screaming long descent on Suntop.

Pretty cool pics, I saw the pic with Mt Rainier in the background. I have a few friends that climbed that mountain just a few months back (not with bikes though).
