Whats the riding scene like year round. I am a very avid mountain rider both dh and xc as well as trail riding dirt bikes and love to ski. I have been thinking of relocating near Seattle or Spokane for work and not familiar with the riding scene. Can someone give me the run down on what the year round weather is like around both areas.

Alot of the Western Washington riding can be found on the Evergreen Trail Guide. Eastern Washington and North Idaho info is more scattered.

Spokane is a LOT drier than Seattle.

Spokane does get hot and dry in the summer and the winters can suck for riding (too much snow) but I usually ride 10-11 months out of the year. Spokane has a lot of good riding in the City. Lots of places for XC and there's Beacon which has DH, Freeride and XC. You can ride year round on the west side as long as you don't mind the rain and mud. Lots of XC around Seattle and there's Duthie which has lots of good Freeride trails.
