Which ones do you endurobro's use? Ive been loving the freedom of not wearing my 50lb camelbak. However on rougher trails ill lose bottles. Im using a lezyne side loader. I need a side loader because of frame clearance. Any recommendations?

I am also an happy user of the zee cage. Never lost a bottle with it even on my hardtail. Further it comes in different colours so that you can match it with your underwear.

Shit thread! but it's raining and I'm not meeting my buddy to ride until this afternoon so I'll entertain answering.

Im kinda givin u stinkeye :brow: but ill entertain it. Which one
Today I will probably be wearing this:

http://www.karrimor.com/karrimor-bottle-belt-765239
and what do u put in it?
Today?
inside the handy plastic vessel supplied:
Water
inside that little pocket:
a ten pound note
and my keys.
There's just enough room in there for a small multitool/Co2 head but I have those stashed neatly in a tiny neoprene tool bag under my saddle.
just out of view in the above pic there are elastic loops (on the other side of the belt from the bottle holster) where I store Co2 carts like a bullet belt and we all know bullets are cool. :/

Cost less than pretty much any modern plastic bottle cage.
is far more secure.
weighs fuck all
isn't bulky at all
The belt does a good job holding shorts/pants up (even when absolutely soaked/caked in mud)

use something like griptape on the bottle maybe? or just coat the bottle or cage in something that creates more friction.

Evoc has a fanny pack with 1.5L bladder. Have seen it in LBS, looked pretty cool.

The problem is the way the bottle cage mounts. Trek and fox are working on a new enduro specific bottle cage mount standard, with 127.5mm cage mounts it will allow enough room to run a suspension bottle cage that will solve all the problems.

Camelbak FTW!!! I hate drinking muddy water!

I got the CamelBak Palos. Also has the 1.5L bladder. Only a few rides on it but I intend to keep using it. Definitely nicer than the traditional backpack style for shorter rides. Only complaint was the waist strap would come slightly loose, but that was an easy fix with a pair of triglides.

Psa: I got it through Jenson and it was half off.

I have a Fabric bottle with the little nubs.
Have not installed it yet....got it last year - maybe this year :monkey:
I just started using this setup as my bike only has mounts on the downtube. It stays put surprisingly well. The only issue is it does collect dirt from being on the downtube, but I prefer that to a sweaty back. I hate using a camelbak. I have one of those Palos hip packs on the way from Jenson. I tried the Dakine low rider, and couldn't jive with how it fit. Hopefully this one stays put better, otherwise I'll be zip tying a cage to my top tube.

I've used self-vulcanizing silicone tape to make a band around my bottles, and it holds them tight.

Also works great for tidying up cables, finishing bar tape, etc.

I use ESI tape because it's cheap, works great and I can always find it at a local shop.. http://www.esigrips.com/silicone-tape-/silicone-tape

BOOST mount!

Fanny packs? Are you all looking to get ass raped on the side of Vainy Shaft Hollow trail or something? "Hey, let's all go enduro Man Gu Gulch! I'm first in!"... WTF is wrong with you monkeys?

We can but hope.

Enduro certainly needs something to draw my interest.

Yes, the zee mount. I've never had a bottle fall out. Numerous lift/bike park days and a couple endurbro races. I usually use a camelbak bottle. I also have the tool. Very handy. You can even get it in crabon if you want to spend $60 on a bottle cage.

Beer usually goes in the camelbak bladder with ice water. Haven't done that in years tho. Can't be bothered cuz I hate wearing a back pack nowadays.

I use the Zee cage. Can have either left or right side version, plus it holds a small toolset which is handy. Never lost a bottle. This is the first bottle cage I use since a decade or so, and so far so good.

I bought Z cages to go with the new bikes last year but only because matchy matchy with the frames. Prior to that I had aluminum that could easily be bent to acquire more grip when needed. I've never lost a water bottle while riding , most are lost from the roof top when I drive off.

I tried Lezyne side load cage on my bike for a recent endurance race. Had it mounted under the downtoob (Banshee) and it was utter garbage. Bottle was having a rave in the cage till it came out about every 12 seconds. I ended up bungee tying it in there, lol.

The Spesh Zee cages sure do look nice, but I haven't used one....

Seems like I'm the only one here having experienced bottle losses with the Zee. Wondering if anyone has the first gen like me or all of you own the Zee 2 and that's the reason.

specialized zee cage cuz you can bolt their little swat multitool on the bottom and not sit on the internet trying to justify carrying a diaper bag on the top of your ass.
But that requires the purchase of a specialized product... difficult trade-off.

Floating down the whiskey river...
I just saw one that carries two bottles behind the saddle... only 1 of 2 bikes I have has a cage mount, but its on the bottom on the downtube so I just mounted my pump there. Get a small pack with a trampoline suspension system, massive airflow.
