I think there is no specific time limit...only that the time comes when youve truly broken the spirit of the invaded people to the point that theyre no longer really capable of properly running the said taken land to the invader's advantage.

Seems that throughout history, the rule was as long as they can hold onto it, it is their's. Tied in with that was the rule that no one's land is their's forever. Someone has always come along and taken it.

It works like this.....
If your a First World nation you can do anything you want but just need a occupying army. You get to not only keep and control the land but you also get to enslave the population and rape its resources.....
If you are Second World nation you can only occupy the land, but you need a friend on the UN Security commision to invade in the first place. Only the UN can occupy the land for a extended period of time after the initial occupation. Oh yeah after you invade and occupy the land you need to commit some level of genocide before the UN gets there. You also have to share the fruits of the enslavement of its people and sell the resources to a friendly First World country in some sort of backroom deal.....
If your a Third World country you have no rights to do anything other then Ethnic Cleansing of Ethnic groups you don't belong too. The only consolation to that is you don't actually need a valid excuse to perform genocide. You can make that up as you go along.....
Those are the International rules for invading and occupying foriegn lands. Time has no purpose here unless you get a lot of bad press then you can pull the WMD trump card....jdcamb

you know... i think the whole thing with the Native American Indians and "we want our land back" is a load of BS... just like the whole whale hunting issue... I mean, okay, back in the day, it was a necessity of survival. But now, today... NO... it's just a stage to make an issue of something.

this whole thing about being Hispanic-American, African-American, "whatever-American... what the HELL? If you came over on a boat, or smuggled in on a truck, and want citizenship, great, glad to have have you. but if you are a citizen of this country, you are an AMERICAN... if you were born here, and you are black, red, brown, blue, yellow, pink, whatever... you are an AMERICAN! plain and simple if we all took it to that degree, there isn't one person that's doesnt' have some ethnic mix in them.
and i'm sorry, but the "black" card is being WAY over played... I don't know if any of you watch The Apprentice? the Donald Trump reality show... but there were two women who really don't get along, both strong minded and smart... well they argue a lot and one of the woman said something that was pretty hypocritcal, and the other said, "well that's like the pot calling the kettle black".... and BLAM! she was all over that with a come back of "what are you saying about me being black? oh so you're racist? etc... " unbelieveable! i'm so sick and tired of hearing from everyone of every "ethnicity" that they want equality, but are the frist to demand special treatment... they want unity but then sperate themselves... it's just plain BS.
