Slept late and secured a 9.5 hour sleep night. Got some work busywork that should keep me occupied for the bulk of the day. Right now it is coffee time.

Wife has an early Covid test Saturday then has to isolate all weekend ahead of a Monday appointment. Our big plan was to MTB all weekend, just the two of us, and of course the weather now says rain all weekend. It's like we were in a four month drought and now it won't stop raining.

Client Board of Directors meeting this afternoon. Up until 12:30 last night pulling and organizing data for presentation because our analytics system wasn't playing nicely yesterday. Tired as fuck.

Otherwise normal day. Kittens getting spayed and neutered today. They should go to their new home in a week or so.

Good day to you sirs!

Toured a house today that was comically overpriced ($270K) and in comically bad shape. Yet they have 3 offers.

This is the studio space attached to the barn that the listing claims just needs a little work and you could turn it into a rental space.

man i saw some real disasters when i was house shopping.

i saw one that was a near full gut job, i believe it had been a foreclosure. previous owner i'm assuming had a gambling problem (i saw multiple cards etc for casinos) which likely contributed. he was a vindictive asshole too. left the basement windows open before he left (i think he just abandoned? my agent didn't have the full story) so that the sump stopped working once the power was shut off. the black mold in the basement was so bad you had to wear a respirator (which conveniently the bank selling it left a box of on the kitchen counter).

Krikey. We've seen some gems as well. Toured a "Fixer-upper" where it was clear someone had missed the toilet and explosive shit/pissed on the wall. House was dank, needed a new roof, windows, siding, ans a full interior gut, plus had a sketchy water filled concrete vessel buried in the backyard that had a cracked lid one could fall through. Was it a septic tank? Seller had no idea.

Yet, still sold for almost 10% over asking.

No no no no nononono.

Frozen dirt riding is the fahstahst riding around these parts. Snow can wait a week or six.
Kudos btw, for the Handup glove recommendation. Wore them last weekend when starting temps were near 40 and I ended up having to swap em out because they were so toasty. Should be great when things get colder.

100% Brisker gloves are good for 35-45F, the Handup ColdERs are great between 25-35F.

Are the thumbs on those ColdER gloves covered in the same material as the fingers? The Briskers have thinner material on the thumb for some reason, which is one thing I don't like. One wipe of sweat and your thumb will freeze.

The wife decided we had to try a McRib for lunch. I can honestly say it was worse than I had imagined. How you can soak something in bbq sauce and still have it paper towel dry is amazing.

I will not miss it when it's gone.

I used to eat that stuff in high school. The McRib was OK, but my two favorites were the BBQ Bacon Double and some kind of Texas BBQ burger that was served as two patties side by side on a long bun with bbq sauce and onion rings, both at Burger King. I'd eat like 2-3 of those things after cross country and track practice. Probably with a ton of mountain dew. It's a wonder I don't have the diabeetuses.

Hello all.

I worked a bit this morning, had a 30 minute phone meeting actually relevant to my interests, and then "rode" an hour on the Peloton after a lovely ramen + steak + eggnog meal, eaten/drank separately, of course
