Work Parties - Wednesdays and Thursdays at Duthie.

We've gotten a great start on another trail and would love your continued help. This one is several steps above the Bootcamp trail and will include more berms and whoops.Come on out and help shape Duthie's first "All-Mountain" Line!.
More Info:
WHERE AND WHEN TO MEET
Meet at the Duthie Hill Lodge. Address: 27101 S.E. Duthie Hill Road, Issaquah, WA. Google maps will get you there. Be there by 4pm at the latest... at 4:05 we'll head into the woods. If it's really wet, we'll carpool down to the south side of the park and drive in along the maintenance access road.
FOOD & DRINKS
Bring plenty of water, some lunch/snacks and a pack for carrying it. Because we'll be hiking into the woods over relatively rugged terrain, carrying bottles of water by hand won't work. Hydration packs like Camelbaks are ideal.

DON'T FORGET TO BRING
Eye protection, rain gear, work gloves and solid footwear. Even though it may be nice weather, it's going to be wet. Eye protection is very important -- branches will be snapping back in your face and dirt/rocks can fly up from using a McLeod or Pulaski.

WHEN WE'RE DONE
We'll leave the woods at 8:00pm and be back to the cars by 8:15pm

bah why not the weekend? I'm a 9 to 5er
Several Saturdays are posted, too: http://evergreenmtb.org/recreation/calendar_view.php. We'll throw some Sundays on there later. If you ever want to work a day that isn't posted, shoot us an email and we'll try our best to post one... Josh: jking-at-evergreenmtb-dot-org -- Mike: mwestra-at-evergreenmtb-dot-org.

The Dirt Corps is out there quite a bit and they can always use a hand. Pip & Andy from the DWBz were back out working on their line on Sun -- same thing.

Also, I'm going to start listing mini-projects that individuals or small teams can tackle at their leisure. An example is a more difficult option off of the bootcamp trail... Gibran is pulling a small team together to build that. Piling up dirt on the backside of gap jump landing walls to provide a case guard is another example. All you need is a shovel, a bucket and a little direction to start.

We can start building tech options beside the bootcamp trail...
  • we've got a few log rides in and there's 1 more ready to be attacked... the run-up, start ramp up and ramp off the end all need to be built.
  • beginner/intermediate ladder bridge features.
  • beginner/intermediate drop or 2.
  • beginner/intermediate jump or 3.
  • log rollovers
  • any feature ideas to help build skills on the bootcamp trail

Let us know when you want to work and what kinds o' schtuff you want to work on.
