Buddies want to have another go at fat biking tonight up north. I'm not keen on it, but whatever, its a ride. From the pictures one of them took yesterday, there isn't even any dirt showing on the trails yet. :(

Coffeeing it now.

Down 17lbs since Jan 4, and I'm hopeful that today will bring me back under 190, which would be the lowest I've weighed in 10 years and the same as I when I was training to join the military 5 days a week, twice a day. I am 13lb away from my goal of a "normal" BMI (which will be 28lb lost).

Parents come to town today, so that should be a laugh riot.

Winds started gusting here in Sedona, thankfully we were already back from our ride. Checked out some new and old to us trails yesterday for a solidly tough few hour ride. Tired.

Land Cruiser ftw. It does have that Canyonero feel though.

Stayed up late talking with BIL. He's Colorado Springs Right and has started to believe that an Authoritarian govt. is a better long-term option than Democracy. Was throwing around strawman arguments about Communism being the same asDemocratic-Socialism. Noting that he doesn't get the value he pays into taxes, so there shouldn't be any as he feels all taxes are stealing. Trying to show how his arguments are false and hollow were a waste of time. Sad that a guy who is so smart let himself get so blindly skewed by propaganda.

I challenged that everything he wants is established in KS and that should be his place to move, but with negative population growth and job growth it's challenging. Every state that has what he wants has that same problem  and all of the growing states are those that support the populace, despite taxes - he just skirted past that little detail. I have a feeling that he will likely end up in a Southern state because they have that Authoritarian, "Libertarian" lean. No loss here, I guess.

Morning Monkeys.

Late night last night, might be another long one today. My hope is for a short Friday and no weekend work, but there is talk of a Saturday shift. For reasons I still don't quite get, Portland IT folks don't get time and a half for overtime. It's just moar time.

ask him if he'd help crowdfund road repairs / construction if taxes are abolished. if he answers anything but yes, tell him to shut his retard mouth.

years back someone i went to high school was arguing with me about socialism and how taxes are theft. i asked her if her kids went to public school; that was the end of the argument.

In-laws get in town this evening and will be here for almost two weeks. I'm sure my MIL will be driving me nuts by this weekend but at least we don't have to pay for childcare next week since it's my son's break week from school.

Woke up with a bad case of malaise fever this morning. Was going to burn a sick day of which I will soon lose, then I realized that I already worked enough this pay period that I would just lose OT pay so here I am to malaise away the day.

That's what I called him on. He said toll/public hybrid is a much better option, but didn't have an answer to how he expected to pay for the public side without taxes.

intermittent fasting. I basically don't eat for two days a week. I'm burning a comfortable 1-1.5lbs a week depending on how much I binge on my days off. I haven't added any additional exercise nor changed my diet. I don't have time to do more exercise and I refuse to stop eating chicken wings. This has worked pretty well for me, and it even helps me not overeat on non-fasting days.

I have been accepted into the inner circle of town elders. Quite a feat since I am very introverted. Good group of crazy mountain people & fun to hang with.

Yoga tonight, then picking up a couple rod & reel combos for the girls' zombie-jesus-day baskets.
Watching the snow stake tonight. if it hits double digits at Eldo, I'm saying FTS and skiing.
