yea, i never got how parents let their kids sleep in their beds on a regular basis.
????

I'm talking about sleeping on his floor. I do NOT want the little turd in my bed. NO. I'll sleep on his floor so we both can sleep if need be. I tried ferber/CIO but this phase isn't working that way. He just stands and screams, no soothing.

same thing essentially; they become dependent on it. rip that bandaid off. only night i slept in my son's room was the first night home from the hospital. turned out he didn't like sleeping flat, so once we got him situated to sleep on an incline we didn't have that issue any more.

the ONLY time i had to actually physically hold either of my kids in order for them to sleep at night was when my son was in the hospital for surgery and was hooked up to an IV.

Just got bent over by the DMV, $707.00 to register my 2011 F350
Dood. I love Oregon, my '92 Silverado is $85 for 2 years and my '01 Corvette is the same. Saint Helens is also outside of DEQ, but both pass smog anyways.

Frita is $100 every 2 years registered as a 20' RV.

... bike trip to Glacier...
I suspect your trip is already filled with activities, but we've been camping / exploring Glacier every other year or so for the last 19 years.

Pole bridge (NW Corner) is my favorite jam...

The Midge and I rode Whale Creek /Lake which is a scenic "family friendly" ride.

I rode Pacific NW Trail (shuttled by family) which was neat but mostly double track reverting back to single...

Hay Creek/Red Meadow Road

We also did some exploring further north as I've been told (via empty beer) that Tuchuk, Hefty and Toma are the true goods but we lost trail and wound up doing a fun logging Rd ride...

This site hasn't been updated in a while but best to stop at Forest service and inquire what they cleared this/last year...

Got any suggestions outside of the park on the East Side? I know it’s tribal land...
The only riding I've managed on the east side was up in Waterton side, not worth the drive unless you were already headed that way.

My buddy from BZN told me to contact: (but I didn't as we were booked)

Mike Meador at GlacierCyclery. Mike knows those trails and can give you excellent beta

Good Afternoon!

It's a hot one out there....I don't have to tell you that, though...I'll bet many of you are feeling the hellfire this week all over the country. So, the boss is back in town and all the fun has to end. We sweated heavily yesterday and today...I couldn't seem to get enough fluid back in me and cramped up worse than a house full of monthly cycle-synched Kardashians in sweat pants eating ice cream on the couch while watching reruns of themselves, last night.

Are any of those legal? I’m not finding any on Trailforks

We are doing a few days in Kalispell/Whitefish, and basing near Mary’s Glacier for 5 days. I’ll call them, but it might be more gravel style rides...

Our TV got fried by lightning a couple of years ago.

Replaced with a 55 TCL - roku, 4k, HDR with our Chromecast hanging out the back.

TV has the red bull app, Chromecast gets used for YouTube.

I'd not heard of TCL before this, but it was a recommended model and only cost $500 something from best buy.

I rode, er "rode" Mountain Lion today. Still felt hot even though thankfully it was 82 Freedoms at the base as opposed to 95 logged while driving through Golden on the way up.

More bend me over. Truck is out of warranty. The high pressure fuel be pumps in the 2011-12 6.7 liter diesel engine is showing a lot of failures. If it goes it takes out the injection system and fuel system. $16,000 repair. I am preemptively replacing the pump. Just a measly $4800 parts and labor:banghead:

I'm patiently waiting for this engine to debut and hear some feedback.
Modern diesels are a hard no for me as repairs out of warranty are eye watering.
The Earth Fucker just rolled 100k (3.5 yrs of ownership) so I've got a couple more years before I hit my 150k sell threshold.
Roush has a super charger for the 7.3 in the works too if I want to burn all the gas.
I'm intrigued that they're going 10 speed only. High gear counts and high torque handling are not mutually exclusive any more, apparently.

Some day I may work a vehicle with that engine into my stable. Maybe when I'm semi-retired and traveling? Ok, probably not going to happen. :D

I am too and that’s the component I want to see some real world results from. My truck has been bombproof (6.2 with same trans as 6.7) and extremely cheap to operate beyond fuel costs. I’m hopeful the new 10spd will deliver the same reliability. Speculation on power is 500hp/560tq range.

7.3 crate engines will find themselves in lots of restomods too.

Chevy is releasing a new 6.6 to compete, with rumors of the 8.1 coming back too.
