Easy day at work.

I need to start saving bike money, a slightly custom Crossworx Dash has to be my next bike, it would tick every box.

Sleep study next week so I have pretty much cut out caffeine, it has done nothing to help with sleep, just like the last bunch of times.

Watabout booze?
I have so much trouble staying hydrated that booze has been almost a no go for a while, just don't seem to absorb water.
Need to see the Dr about the dehydration BS, will go after the sleep study. It leads to usually 12-30hr headaches and loads of dumbness.

Couple of drinks, bad for sleep, drink till almost in a coma, great for sleep! Used to be pretty productive after a big night out, coz the sleep apnea didn't wake me, haha!

Keep drinking water in mouth hole and butt chug the booze. Best of both worlds.

Been sneezing too much today which normally is the beginning of a cold. Hopefully nothing too bad as I have a long flight on Sunday coming up.
Started watching a series where people get a runny nose and sneeze.
Then their IQ drops to that of a 1YO and they die of stupidity, it's pretty funny but I have forgotten the name.
I was also sneezing today.......

Finally got the lawyer on the phone. It's a tricky house purchase for sure and I need to use that to my advantage in the price negotiation. I don't mind its tricky but I also want value out of my trouble.

Being the favorite parent means getting more "i love yous" and affection, but it also means being the one to dispense hugs and cuddles at 3am.

Snow I love. But dang it's been cold all winter. Fukdat!
And if it's gonna snow, I want it to snow. None of this an inch or two nonsense, gimme a couple feet.

Hey man! I ran an hour on the track this morning...cold and windy! I've got a funeral to attend this morning...my wife's cousin's wife's father. I guess I'd say he's my uncle through marriage?? Anyway, he was a 105 year old WWII combat vet who served for over 30 years and retired as a colonel, then worked as a defense attorney for the underprivileged. That funeral is going to be a madhouse.

what's nice though is that it has preserved the snow pack. I bet my boy is happy I bought him wind briefs for his Nordic ski racing!

I am nervously shitting bricks for the Canadian Ski Marathon this weekend. I'm only doing 40km/day, but my boy is doing the full 80km/day over 2 days.... My boots are a little short and I get hammer toe. but if I get new boots, they are likely to cause blisters on the heel. In terms of distance, I'm likely to be fine with one day of 40km. it's the second day I'm worried about... I did 20 km this past weekend and was fine (except for a little bruised from hitting the ground hard in a high-speed descent).

That said, snow pack is better than it has been in recent memory, and the weather is supposed to be stellar, with highs of -5°C and sunny. Should be good.

Not much to report over here... back from vacation, most of the house interior got painted while we were gone, we'll be working on the last few things to get ready to move back in, and then (fingers crossed) we'll start moving all our stuff back into the house in earnest this weekend. Really looking forward to that, and maybe also having some time to either ride or ski since not a lot of that had been going on while rebuilding the house.

Looks like the rest of the state is getting dumped on. Decent weather on the coast. Best part is I dont have to own a snow shovel

More shenanigans today calling around and trying to make a schedule with some decent weather to get forms and concrete poured on the hill.

In other news,

Imperial shit ton of carving/woodworking tool stuff is arriving via the Amazonians today. bless their hearts

In office again because lab. Issues running the automated tests I didn't write. 58 of 244 failures and so far about a dozen have passed manually, so it's likely a bad assert. Oh joy.

I am stopping at Ochoa's to get some tamales because the ones from Costco were a mistake. And of course while there I gotta get a Super Taco (1 crunchy, one traditional, 2 rolled on a plate).
