Is there a website, or has someone put together a list of rear shocks for DH and their weights??? Something that would put Fox RCs, Romic, Avy, 5E's, 6-way's side by side with their weight and then maybe with Ti springs to see the differences.

Avalanche lists an approx weight of their shock, it's definatly heavier than the other shock you've mentioned, but then again none are even in the same leauge as the Avalanche.

fox rc`s are typically around 700-850g (depending on spring of course) for the 8,5 and 8,75" versions.

5th elements are just under 1 kilo with steel springs, thing is the body of the 8,75" 5th weighs 540g.

romics typically come in at around 1,3 kilos up to 1,5 kilos

avys weigh from 1,4 to 1,5 or thats what ive seen.

el jefe is just a tad heavier than avy and romic but mostly because of the spring

no idea on the weight of a 6way but id be surprised if its all that different from the 5th.

Fox DHX without spring/hardware is 400g.

because many times people are too lazy to remove bushings and axles that get bent and make it a b*tch to remove springs.
