U.N. health agencies recommended Wednesday that heterosexual men undergo circumcision because of “compelling” evidence that it can reduce their chances of contracting HIV by up to 60 percent.

EDIT: They are starting to compel women to get the vaccination for cervical cancer. Should we compel the snip as well?

maybe the data are compelling in areas w/o access to basic hygeinic practices, as well soap and running water.

i'd be curious to see data from a 1st world country.

I highly doubt that the WHO and UNAIDS has that misunderstanding amongst their ranks. But...it is Earth...I suppose anything's possible.
