Had my appointment with the specialist today, good news is that no surgery will be needed, and that I'll be in a normal cast for 4 weeks.

Thats great news, but dont get too upset if in 4 weeks from now they tell you you need the cast for another 2 weeks. Ive broken bones 2x, neither of which did the cast come off on the initial estimate.
