My own world inside my head
So the first two tines shooting recoil wasnt bad, it was also crazy inaccurate.

Ended up with a new projectile, that sealed and works much better.... was also zeroed in three shots..... same load, moved to a 290gn.... much much more recoil......

Still fun

What distance did you zero at?
What’s the effective range for a muzzle loader?

I zeroed at fifty as my long shot where I will hunt .... maybe 100....

This particular projectile and charge combo..... 300-350 would be effective on a deer, 250-300 on an elk.....

There are sabot type projectiles and charges that are effective 700-800 range.....

I am limited here for projectiles as the restrictions are lead only, no jacketed or plated, and no sabots, only skirts or gas checks.
