talked to this guy from Moriarty NM. he works at Sandia labs and put two 50 lbs thrust full turbine micro engines made for RC jets and TOOK OFF AND CLIMBED TO 5K! it ruled.

they are tiny and cost about 5k each.

Turbines are rated in thrust force, unless you're taking shaft power off of them.

power = force * velocity, so the faster you go, the more HP your turbines make

THe definition of a glider is unpowered.

I would not consider it a glider anymore. it is now a Jet plane with a very small engine.

BTW: how much fuel does it use ? and how can the plane carry ?
