here's a rant, courtesy of a friend of mine:
here's all i'm going to say about the virginia tech
incident:

ted nugent needs to shut the hell up and go cat scratch
his stupid mouth. we need to tighten up on gun control.
what law abiding, responsible, and mentally stable gun
owner would have a trouble with a simple law that
disallows all people who are psychiatrically committed
(voluntarily or involuntarily) by either the courts or
by us doctors to get accesss to gun purchases? i mean,
what happens during a 30 day waiting period if not
this??

i don't care about this dumb cho kid at all. i think
it's sick that people are fascinated by this loser, and
are actually trying to "understand" him. who cares?
there are crackpot losers like him everywhere - working
at your office, living on your street, standing behind
you at the supermarket. the only differecne is that
this geek had access to not one but two guns in two
months. what college student needs two guns???

there's nothing spectacular about his video manifesto
at all. he couldn't even get the address right, and his
ramblings were annoying at best. paranoid delusional,
sure; but mostly immature and dopey with goofy christ
on the cross reference that didn't work and stupid
poses that would make the most uneducated, parentless,
ghetto rapper blush. hell, sanjaya had a more meancing
pose with his faux-hawk. and he needed to get the
mumble marbles out of his mouth. it's embarassing as
all get up when you need a subtitle in your own
language provided by the news services to get your
message out. "your benz...vodka, and cognac"??? yigga,
please.

the only people who should be ashamed besides his
parents should be virginia tech for lowering their
admisson standards to let this moron in. trust me, do
not read any of his "plays" posted on aol. i got
suckered into it. you shouldn't be allowed to major in
english, let alone to be a senior of your institution,
if you cannot get beyond "text messaging" dysfunctional
grammar. bff!!!

his great aunt in korea also needs to shut the hell up.
so does everyone else in korea. just make your dopey
cheap cars and shut the hell up. i don't need to see
your goofy catholic church services with your kimchee
bishops. stop praying to a white god, and maybe you
guys won't be so angry all the time. you guys make
kickass bbq's and drink great grain hooch. so enjoy
life. don't buy so many guns.

nah, he's usually dead-on w/ his rants, and this is no exception.
the only part that raised eyebrows w/ me was the "christ on the cross" reference. cho referred to himself as ismail, who was the islamic reference to a child born to ibrahim [abraham] & sarah, far before the crucifixion.

Yep....besides the fascination people habve with guns, here's another thing i don't understand: What is wrong with tighter laws? Do you want guns dispensed in vending machines? If you're law abiding and have nothing to hide and all of that, then what's the problem?

If the existing 2000 are proving to be ineffective, which they obviously are, then I guess you need more.
we need more ineffective laws, or more laws, which make existing one more ineffective?

:scratchingSac?:

our problem isn't so much the gun culture, it's the inability to enforce our current gun-control laws. every indication was that there already existed current information & judgments which should have legally barred cho from obtaining handguns.

What we really need is for our gun laws to be as effective as our illegal drug laws. Because if there is one thing that is hard to get in our country it is a sack of................

funny how liberals want it bothways.... total privacy when it comes to their medical records yet somehow total access to law enforcement when buying a gun....

You get dumber with each passing day. I fear you are going to create a "blackhole of stupidity" and the universe will collapse into you. ....in which case I guess we don't need to worry about global warming...

You don't actually mean most of what you say, right? I mean, most of this is just trolling for responses?

Privacy and not getting a bullet in the solar plexis by some whacko are two completely different things. Get a clue.
so if i'm reading you right, you're all for the gov't finding information which could save lives? would that include warrentless wiretaps?

if so, welcome home, son.
