I am watching the speach right now and PISSED she did not address Rossi's request in her main speach, rather waited until the media had questions regarding the letter. He wrote her a letter asking her for a state revote. Yet she never responded, all of her little elfs responded for her. I am sorry if I write a letter to someone who is of the same status in society (heck even if not) I expect them to respond to me, not a little helper.

Some of the crap from her speach:

"a do over is only in golf" That had to have been the most unprofessional way of addressing Rossi's request, just shows how much of a whore this woman is.

"we have a governer elect, the election is over" well why was that not the case when she wasn't the governer elect? She is a hypocrit. We had two governer elects before, why wasnt it over then?

"There was not a winner in the previous counts, only with the handcount"
So is that to say that in every election for how many years there wasn't a winner because they did it by machine? What a load of ****.

"WHAT I SAID WAS!...." quit attacking the media, all she does is bitch, she can't handle the media's questions professionaly, its going to be a LONG 4 years with this woman.

I was fully hoping this woman would get on, act like a professional, mature adult but clearly she is not capable of that. She is the wicked witch of the west as far as I am concerned, looks like one, acts like one... hopefully a damn house will fall on her!

Personally, I trust the machine counts Rossi won, over the hand count Gregiore won. What is the margin of error for a hand count??
i trust hand counts when you have a bunch of elderly party members in there doing the count and watching over each other with their mean old eyes...

The one great point she made in her speech was the fact that one Republican and one Democrat agreed on each and every vote counted. Triple checked.

I still think she is the lessor of the two candiates.

Oh well.

It's Rossi for Senate in two years acording to the wonks on KPLU. :blah:

But thats not the case from what actual counters/observers saw and mentioned on Kiro710 the other day. Several counters/observers (not sure exactly what their position was but they claimed to have been in there with it all) said that in several counties, this wasnt the reality. This was what was HOPED to happen but sometimes observers were no where near the actual counting/remarking.

What pissed me off the most and I think the Republican party has a case on is the remarking of votes. Don't touch my ballet god dammit! I voted just fine, as one person put it, "if i rested my pencil in gregoire's circle for one second but filled in rossis, don't you DARE try and figure out what I was thinking with that resting of my pencil, i voted for where my bubble was filled in"

my understanding is that legally they are not supposed to mark the original ballot, if there is a question or whatever they can be enhanced on a "copy" not the original, so after the fact you can go back and figure out... wait a minute! they messed up when they "enhanced" this vote the first time.... we counted it as this!

So Ridemonkey, that is a good example of why a revote would be useful. No they can't seem to count votes correctly, but I do think that the fact that both machine counts were within a certain margine says a little something... the damn handcount was a load of crap, humans make errors, machines are tested, tested, tested, yes they will make errors but the % error is less, computers are a great example. Now I know most don't think that computers are more accurate (humans make computers, thus they can't be -arguement) but the reality of it is, they are.

Everything was followed according to procedure and law, so it's done. The sour grapes are really pathetic, it's just like people who say Bush isn't president because Gore got cheated in Florida.
What's funny is all the arguments are being completely reversed BY BOTH SIDES. Flippity flop haha George W. would be rubbin his nipples over this whole thing.
i personally thought the governership would be good for a change in party control due to Locke's mess he's left, but really, i think it's pathetic how Rossi isn't conceding.
But hell if they want to fight in court and cause a re-vote it sure would be interesting. (but it'll NEVER happen)
And as far as people being disenchanted or disenfranchised about our voting process, well just look at Ukraine for what a real ****ed up voting process is all about.

That's right I am sorry, I am only allowed to call GW names right? I am sorry... continue on.

Well, it depends. You could have called the woman stupid or a jerk (That was my first thought, reading the speech for the shot to Florida...)

But instead, you called her a whore...which doesn't seem to be warranted unless she's ****ing for money, y'know?

Let me put it another way...if she was black, would you have said that a quote from her speech "shows just how much of a nigger she is?"

Not agree witht he term, but it being gender specific is not OK?

That makes little sense to me.

When you use the work Mother F*cker....do you mean it literally? Well I guess he didn't actually F somebodies real mother.....

...or D!ck head....well I mean he isn't one free standing penis nub....

Come on. What are you actually agruing? The literal meaning of an insult? How lacking in a point that is.....

Rhino makes a good point.

Silver maybe you are a bit behind with the "slang" terms or way words/names are used. I am sure you, yes you, and almost everyone else on this board has used a term/name like "whore" in a way that wouldn't be the common use. Rhino's example of Mother F'r is a great example. Not sure why you picked this arguement over one regarding the actual election itself... but whatever.

Seems like a common arguement(from all sides) in recent elections. If you can't back your case up, heck lets find a little something that has NOTHING to do with the issue at hand and try and turn that into the bigger issue! It wouldn't make any sense to ignore pointless things like that and focus on the bigger issues

Either way, just move on. Get over it, why not talk about the bigger issue of the election at hand...?

Cool...next time you get in an argument with a woman (a girlfriend, perhaps, or maybe you're mother, if you're feeling brave), and you're about to call her an idiot...call her a whore, and get back to me on how that goes, ok?

Again, how is that an issue?

Now you are arguing the effect of such a derogatory statement. A statement meant to inflict some sort of emotional pain....though I don't see how it would hurt her on this forum. It is a word meant to hurt, and now you are saying that he should use much less hurtfull words.... :nopity:

AHAAHHAHA. Grey Goose is rather yummy Vodka.

Semantics are fun, one point for mplutodh1, one point for non-indiginous species, -2 Silver for missing the damn point about our election woes.
