emachines desktops are not very good as opposed to their laptops which have been really good of late. Tiger Direct ins't the best place to buy from either but you can make that determination for yourself by checking the reviews at http://www.resellerratings.com/seller1983.html

Proc looks ok. Why more ram? 512 of PC2700 is fine, unless you reallly need that much more.

You should dig deeper and find out about the mother board in it, and see exactly how far you can upgrade.

Aside from a irst thing I'd put in there is a good AGP card.
