Right now I'm listening to Porcupine Tree's Deadwing CD - highly recommend it!

Later in the day I think I'll throw in some Radiohead, some more Porcupine Tree and then maybe a little 7Nations later in the afternoon to keep me going.

What's on your docket music wise for today???

Who? Where do you find these artists Narlus??
loren is the master of 'venusian blues'...if you can believe it, i've got over 34 of his cds/lps...he's nothing if not prolific. he's also got a keen interest in us/irish history, mainly around the NYC angle of the late 1800s/early 1900s. i'll do a SotD thread for him, but i think it's not gonna be a big hit; his plaintive stuff is probably not energetic enough for people, and his loud stuff is probably too free-playing and abrasive.

edit - btw he's been making music since the 80s, started out in New Haven. if you can find any original pressings of the records he put out on Daggett (under the guitar roberts name, or bluesmaster), they will fetch over $100 each on ebay. i've only seen him play once, in '92 or so. i've heard he's got parkinson's disease, so that likely slows him down. interesting guy though. there's a recent 3cd comp of singles and the like which is essential.

Listening to the new My Morning Jacket live CD. Woke up to some Toubab Krewe.

I think I'll put on Drew Emmitt and Tim O'brien live @ Floydfest once the MMJ is over.

The Jim Rome show on ESPN Radio, then Dan Patrick at noon. The local sports guys after that SUCK, so I usually go home. Sirius in the vehicle, mostly Alt Nation.

old NOFX rules. 'punk in drublic' is one of the best albums they ever put out. however, i was pleasantly surprised by "the decline"
