I have been racing MTB's since 93' and started racing bmx way back in the day (1977) here's my dilemma I have been a sport class racer for ten years (never had the time for expert level training) in 2003 I fell in love w/ Single Speeding, did fairly well then and last year, this year I moved to Arkansas whose trails are more intense than what I rode around the great lake states. I waited 4 months before entering my first race here. (so I could get adjusted to amount of climbing here) I came in 11th out of 12 and the top 3 were all Twety somethings, I am 39, I am planning on doing another race in October, should I race in The SS class or should I race my age( by NORBA Rules I should be 40-45) there is even an evil voice in my head saying I need a geared bike again for racing, what should I do ????
