Scam....

Bad grammer, and not on the cool internet way.

Has a shipping agent to pick it up, and certified cashiers check from what country?

String him along and mess with him... waste his time.

Definitly a scam. I will never deal with someone who I don't have an address to ship the product to. All it means is you never even have a piece of contact information from them.

The language sounds fishy.
It may be legit as long as the so called certified check is not from another country.
I still have a problem with his repeated "give me the last price" bit.

I would insist upon cashing the check and then handing the goods to his "shipping agent".

The only problem with that is that your bank might clear it in a week, but then it doesn't clear another bank, and gets kicked back to your bank 2 weeks later. Then your bank removes the funds from your account... and you just got F'ed.

Another :monkey: had this happen to him, I think it's posted in the bad seller / scam forum.

Yep. "Certified Checks" don't mean anything. If you can't get an electronic funds transfer, cash or a postal money order in your hands, you've got no guarantees.

Sounds like a scam to me. Kris got a cashier's cheque from a bank in Ohio last year for $5000 that was fraudulent, basically cash, USPS Money Order, or wire transfer are the only safe ways to guarantee a purchase. More importantly though, this guy never actually mentions the specific product he wants to buy. I'd give him a big "no dice."

I have said this before and I will say it again.
Anytime, you get a poorly written e-mail from some douche in a foreign land, and he mentions the phrase "Shipping agent," is it for sure a scam.
Always.

You'd be naive to even do that. I received a valid certified check from a US bank that cleared in my bank, and I got my money in the account. Only to get a call 3 weeks later saying that after further investigation, the check was fradulent.

Don't ever take a certified check, tell them to F-off. This is an obvious scam (broken english, certified check, and "shipping agent" give it away). What's the guys email address?

I must have glanced over this the first time I read your post, this scam's been going on for a while. Not only does this guy get your bike, he gets $1100 transferred to him as well because the bank will put the money into your account for about two weeks before they realize the cheque is fraudulent. Why would anybody want to send you a cheque for $1100 over the purchase price and have the balance transferred back? You lose about $50 in a wire transfer between fees and processing.

Bet it was drawn on Fifth/Third Bank. There were a huge number of these checks floating around last year. They looked real as hell.

what i make of this?
its a scam

but more importantly the "give me your last price" bit is a bit worrying because one of the tell-tale signs of these scams used to be that the scammer never really bothered to look at the price, it was always "yes" so maybe theyve gotten smarter, or look at boards like these

and yes denmark has a queen and a semi-hot asian princess last i checked.

guys thanks, very much for the help. The second e-mail was the exact one that was listed in an above post. I told the guy to **** off. Quick question, if you did go through with this and you got screwed over, would the bike be considered stolen, and then you could get it covered by your insurance.
