It kind of depends on how she meant it... and the mood/context in which it was said. Look at the situation - did it feel more like a "you're a really great guy and I'm lucky to have you in my life/as a friend", or was it more a, "You're perfect, where have you been all my life, I want to have your children"?

Either way, "thank you" is always an acceptable answer. NEVER say it in return unless you mean it.

I've told a girl I loved her and got a "thanks" in return. There's nothing wrong with that. Chicks are weird, so it's never safe to assume anything, but IMO, you don't tell someone you love them just to hear it in return. You tell them so they know how you feel, how important you are to them... so don't feel obligated just because she said it. Be sure to acknowledge her so she knows you heard/understood her, but don't feel like you have to say anything in particular.

Unless she starts getting psycho, I wouldn't worry about it.

Shut up and Ride
Can she Suck a golf ball through a garden hose ?
I see.........

chick: "I love you!"
me: "thanks, but I was wondering if you can suck a golf ball through a garden hose ?"

I figure she'll either be offended and never say ILU again, or say yes...and then I am pretty sure I'd be telling her "I love you too"
