I think you should just send me $1750, and you get to keep your bike, which is better than loosing $4,400 and your bike.

At this point, I usually make up some kind of excuse to drive the price up astronomically, like up to $6,000, and then I give the scammer my address as the secret service building (you know, the conterfeit guys) in washington DC. Then, if they ever want to actually go after any of these guys, they already have the evidence!

That is a fine but not too original example of a very common e-scam. Do pay pal or something. Dude should collect from his client separately, and there's no reason you can't mail it. I know I don't want anyone's "shipping agent" coming to my place...

I keep getting those emails every time i post something on pinkbike.com I hate to say it but i laugh at those who would fall for that. most of the time they're from africa, or somewhere over seas of course and they want to use "thier own delivery company" or something like that to come pick it up.

You can even see how he pasted in the "04 Team Issue Ventana El Quervo" and missed the space with 'immediately.'

I want to get a job as a 'shipping agent.' Apparently they run around America getting to pick up cool DH bikes for the big Nigerian downhill scene...
