Yeah, he rides for MSC, which is owned by Luis, the Maxxis importer for spain as well as the team business manager for the Maxxis euro team. Luis is also the promoter for the Maxxis Cup-so yeah, he loves racing. We need a Luis here in america!
If I am not mistaken he had a 888 fork on his bike at the WC finals.
I wish I could watch World Cup DH races in a regular basis. The selection and variety of frames ridden in those events is an Interbike+Eurobike+LA Expo show of its own. Unlike here in US, it a monotonous procession of cookie cutter frames upon cookie cutter frames. If we're sheeps, we make great pets.
