I'm going to order some swampthings for DH, for when the course is really wet or loose. What durometer do you recomend. These will be used almost enitrely for racing, so if they wear a little fast that isn't a big deal.

thanks

Just go 60a. You want something that won't just fold over in the mud. The stiffer rubber will give you a slightly better chance.

well for wetscreams or other totally mud specific tire the 60 duro might be the best in order to avoid squirm, but the swampthing doesnt have that skinny knobs and is good for a combination tire when you know there is going to be SOME mud, so take that into account and go ST or 50a if the course will have hard surface mixed with mud.

I think that Swampthings have short enough knobs that squirm and folding won't be too much of an issue. besides, if there's a lot of places for the knobs to squirm, you should probably run something else anyways. Go for Slow Reezay if you can get it, Super Tacky if not, 60a if you want to save a few bucks.
