The skull and bones thing is really not as impressive as it sounds. People like to think it's all "eyes wide shut" and ****, but it's really just most of the alpha male / campus figures self-selecting each other. It shouldn't be any shock that the same guys that stand out as having leadership potential on the best campuses in the country, go on to be our highest level politicians, bankers, and lawyers.

Yes, it does help the climb up the ladder, but so do the connections from simply going to an Ivy league school. Secret societies are that much more of a boost, because someone higher up knows that the candidate has been vouched for by people HE selected in the past.

There's no conspiracy here. Move along.

Interesting note: I believe Lieberman turned down his tap for Skull and Bones.

So you know enough to spout some tidbit of info, but still want to just pass the whole thing off as "conspiracy theory".
That term was surely coined simply to pass off public suspicions of "high society connectedness".

Look at the facts, look at the famillies, trace some damn flow of power through history. I've got just a 5 minute bike ride and a $40 entry fee to take a look at Vanderbuilt familly pictures to see how inbred power tends to be.

Sure, there are checks and balances within the system, and everyone contributes in their own way to world events, but some folks have the power game figured out (by virtue of birth) better than others.

If you don't see the significance of two fraternaty brothers (of one of the most significant fraternaties at that) being the prime candidates for the presidencial election of the United States this year....well, you are just plane ignorant by choice and content with giving in to "the illusion" (as Noam would put it).

To this I say "**** You".

...
I'm confused, how is this any different than the history of man? Hasn't it always been that way... a few families/groups control the world?

How's this group (S&XB) any different?

It's no secret that money and connections buys you priviledge in this country, but there's no sinister plot to take over the world...

It consists of....The Queen, The Vatican, The Gettys, The Rothchilds and Colonel Sanders before he went tits up. Ahhhh....I hated the Colonel with his wee beady eyes and that smug look on his face..."

I guess my main point is that its kinda strange that one of two frat brothers are going to be elected president.

I would also think that when interviewed on the subject, they ought not get so damn squirmy before quickly changing the subject.

So you're not going to answer the question about how this group is unique? You're just gonna throw out conspiracy BS without even pretending to support your position?
