Sorry I missed this thread the other day....yeah it was a big suprise to see him there....we staked out a good spot on a corner just up from the finish line.......it did look to me like he was hanging safely in the pack, but several times in the last laps Lance would pull to reel in breakaways, and move up to 3rd or 4th, he seemed to want to stay out of the final sprint finish....and thus finished safely in the pack. Of course I had no camera with me.....very cool to have all that going on in our little town!

The last thing he needs is to get wiped out in a finish sprint by some overzealous local cat1.
