Front Range, dude...
Got into it with a couple of the Tea Party, Obama hates 'murika types in my office about what loving your country and patriotism entails. I feel its a bullsh!t concept that has been foisted upon us by those in power to encourage us to do dumb things on behalf of them...to get young men and women to die for them so they can continue to keep and gain power.

How do you idiots define it...what does it mean to you?

should be someone who's historically educated - not just someone who has a throbber for 2A - and who desires to evangelize to those outside the wire to "come on in, the water's fine". other side of that coin is: anything that is at odds w/ murica, you forsake as you sign in.

and of course there's mandatory suicide. that makes you a life member that you can wag in everyone's face like an eagle's cock.

I have never been able to answer the question to my satisfaction. The "loves country and supports its authority and interests" definition makes me shy away - I do not without questioning support the "authority and interests" of any person or institution.

U.S. Bank and a Kentucky-based financial services provider agreed to refund $6.5 million to 50,000 military service members after federal regulators accused both companies of misleading borrowers about fees and costs associated with an auto loans program that targeted active-duty troops.

U.S. Bank, headquartered in Minneapolis, along with its partner, Dealers’ Financial Services of Lexington, Ky., violated the law by engaging in deceptive marketing and lending practices, regulators with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau alleged Thursday.

The auto loan program created by the two companies – the Military Installment Loans and Educational Services program – was designed to appeal to young service members who were new to the car-buying process and had little or no credit history. It required them to make payments on subprime loans through the military’s so-called “discretionary allotment system,” a process that automatically deducts the money from their salaries before the funds are deposited in a bank or credit union...

Patriotism is where you love your country SO MUCH, and you believe in democracy SO STRONGLY that you're willing to support armed insurrection in order to prevent the majority from implementing decisions that you disagree with.

Patriotism It the ability to say FU because you can do so for the most in this country without spending your life in jail.

Seriously though:for me it the ability to stand up and defend the right of your fellow citizen to be a complete ass in the hope that they will do the same when you make a complete ass of yourself.
