What program do you use to convert MP3's to a format that can be played on a regular CD player?

On my windows machine, I just use Windows Media Player to burn mp3s to regular audio. You might need version 10 to do it?

there are more programs than you can shake a stick at.

i use Nero, but iTunes is easy enough too. it depends on how much control you want (there are various things you can control, which may or may not matter to you).

Ok some of the songs need a little more coercing than WMP is willing to do.

The 40GIG Ipod I bought is coming loaded FULL with songs. I need somewhere to store them and I'll probably burn a few on disc to listen to on occasion.

Do you use external hard drives?

moving songs off an iPod isn't a drag-n-drop type thing, but google can sort you out. apple does this on purpose.

what can't MP do wrt to mp3 burns?

i have 4 different hard drives:

internal 74GB for programs
2x internal 250GB for data
external 300GB for data

that would hold a lot of porn. Err, I mean, movies, TV shows, music...

I've got a total of 160gb between my two drives and am always near full.

Good stuff coming out of Australia, UK, Korea, Norway... stuff worth watching and saving.

I suppose I should get a DVD burner. Or at least stop rambling.

or PM Toshi. whichever is easier. btw, you don't need a program, i think all you need to do is to make hidden files/folders viewable.

since i've spent the better part of a year ripping cds and fixing mp3 tags, i definitely needed a backup of those files. using additional hard drives didn't seem to make economic sense, so i bit the bullet and did it the brute force method.

daddy, why is the sky blue? :mumble:  :D

it's a field which is stored into the mp3 file (you can also add artwork to the mp3 file) which mp3 players use to tell files apart. if all you had was a file w/ no tags, yr iPod probably couldn't display anything (or anything correctly).

check out tag&rename (www.softpointer.com); it's a cool program. there's a free one called TheGodFather which i never tried.
