So I made the mistake of catching Jeff foxworthy's new game show, "Are you smarter than a 5th grader?" last night.

The premise is people are asked ridiculously easy questions, and can win up to $1M...

So a woman last night walked away with $100k, even though she did not know that a trapezoid had 4 sides, and was unable to name the country that shared the longest border with the US. Her fianl question before she bowed out of the competition, was "How many decades in 2 millenia?".....she could have gone for $175000, but she deemed the question too hard, so she took her money and ran.

Anyone that stupid does not deserve $100k. She'll only end up hurting herself or someone else with it.....

(Yes...I want on that show!!)

I just know that if I ever got onto one of those shows I'd get some dumb-ass question about pop culture that I have no idea about and look like a complete idiot.

So's....I never thought I would see you type that, or is it a Canadian thing? You can blame it on your American wife.

I thought you would have our sh!tty programming blocked from your television.

No no...we have to pay extra to get your programming because ours by and large is even worse.....(but less trashy)
from my visits to whistler over the years it seems to me that canadian tv is composed entirely of three elements:

1) homemade "bro movies" of hucking off rooftops, whether on skis or bikes
2) candid camera type prank shows
3) odd late-night shows that illustrate that old canadians are kinky and weird. i hope to never see another prostate massage on tv again
