I have been more than satisfied with the surgery, the therapy and the treatment that I have recieved from the staff... However the billing is so messed up it is rediculous.
I went to one doctor and they charged me the wrong amount for my copay, so I just got a late notice that says since they didn't charge me I have to pay a late fee!
Ok so that seems like a simple mistake...
Now I have recieved a bill from the company that set me up with a knee brace. They seem to think that I owe them for my new prostetic leg!
Ok, that should be easy to fix.
Now the hospital that I had my surgery done at sent me a bill because...well I am not sure, just for sh1ts and giggles I guess. It doesn't say why they sent it to me. In fact it says I paid my copay...
Who runs these places and how the hell did they get their jobs? Tomorrow, my day off. I have to go to all these places and fix these stupid problems. You know...since I don't have anything better to do...like heal!

Do you feel better now that you've got that out in the open? Good... just make sure that you get it all squared away tomorrow so you can come up the BATB on Saturday and take pictures, eh?

Those companies are so facked....they never get anything right. No matter how many times you call, or how hard you try to be clear, they ALWAYS mess something up. And it doesn'thelp that my employer changes providers every 6 months.

We're still getting bills for the birth of my 4 month old daughter. ....bills we shouldn't be getting....

Damn, I'm glad I'm not in your shoes. An ex/current good friend of mine totalled her celica this past January. After the accident she spent a couple hours in the local er having things checked out (just a couple bumps, scrapes and bruises, that was it). I was at her house yesterday and saw ANOTHER bill from the hospital. We called her insurance co. and the dude told us that everything was squared away so far as he knew.

I don't know what's the problem: they don't know you're paid up or they're just trying to gouge you for some extra dough.

Did you have problems with this? Random bills for things you didn't get? I can't wait to go return my prostetic leg today

There's two ways to look at this:

1) The paperwork system is SO screwed up that nobody can keep anything straight.

or

2) They insurance/hospitals/doctors just send out bill hoping 1 in 20 sends some $$ in just so they don't have to deal with it.........

Maybe it's a combo.
