we used to give my nephew a dab of beer on his pacifier all the time... He loved it and still does (not on the pacifier of course) at the ripe old drinking age of 5.

I love Virginia. There is a new family that moved in across the street. I think there are about 11 people living in a 4 bedroom house, all adulsts except for 2 children. It used to be a beautiful wooded lot, they cut all the trees down a few months ago and just left them there. Not one person in the family is under 200 lbs including a 14 year old girl. They only wear sweatpants and spend hours arguing in the front lawn. From the brand new corvettes and the price of the house they bought I can assume they have some money. They are great and have supplied me with hours of amusement.

I thought this was going to be a Van Morrison thread.

first song of his newest albumn is "Whats wrong with this picture."

I couldn't believe that this pic wasn't staged - so I looked it up - it's legit!!

"Williamson is a small woman with long brown hair. She didn't finish high school. She hasn't seen her father since she was 13. She has worked in fast food, but doesn't have a job.

"I've heard of the Internet," she said, "but I've never used it. I have no knowledge of computers whatsoever."

the newspaper must be laughing all the way to the bank as they are getting all this EXTRA free press.

It's sad. She'll probably try to file a lawsuit against the city or the company doing the construction. After all it's always the other persons fault.

That's okay though because she will also be suing the tobacco companies someday, and those bastards deserve to be sued.

ahaha! this thread reminds me of a couple years ago when we all dressed up for halloween at work and this girl went as white trash. she blacked out a couple teeth and had cabbage patch dolls hanging from her legs and put a pillow in her shirt to make it look like she was pregnant. then when she went outside on her smoke break people would drive by thinking she was pregant and seeing her smoking and they were honking and yelling obscenities at her!

it's nice to know people are concerned. sometimes they can get out of hand, tho. my OTHER co-worker who was really pregant was standing in line at starbucks and some chick behind her was like, "should you REALLY be drinking coffee while you're pregant??"

people are funy!

Unfortunately, she smart-asses her way right out of a multi-million dollar suit with this ignorant statement:

Thursday morning, Williamson said she knows smoking is bad because people have criticized her since she took up the practice 20 years ago.

"I really don't pay that much attention to it," she said. "If people don't like it, that's their opinion. They've got theirs and I've got mine."

I like "not the smoothest lane on the freeway" the best. Either way, you are right. She's a true dummy.

I'm not convinced that this is real, it looks like something out of "The Onion" - my dumbass step-sister smoked while she was pregnant - and her kid had open heart surgery @ 2 years old (I know - all the screaming in the world can't get through to some people) I've always wanted to ask her - "How do you feel about what your selfishness did to your kid?" - but probably never will.

You should say something when the time is right, I would.

I live near (thank God not in) Roanoke, and I saw the original paper when it came out. I was ....well, dumbstruck. The truly saddest thing is that this stupid woman is in no way unique. There's a whole lot of presentation-quality dumbasses in "da 'noke"
FWIW, for the next week the letters to the editor section was ablaze with indignation.

When I worked in Christiansburg(between Blacksburg and Radford) during college, I had this family of 'necks who hung around the gas station quickee mart I worked PT at all day. The father would come in and buy a dozen scratch-off lottery tickets, a case of Busch and a carton of generic cigs(Basic brand) every morning with cash. He would then do a second transaction with food stamps, paying for soda, chips and candy. His disheveled, dropout kids would then show up two hours later complaining that dad was drunk again and used up all the foodstamps. The daughter was pregnant and smoked like a Detroit factory. The son was sooooo slow as to be considered functionally retarded. The "mother" would only show up at the mart to pick up more beer and ciggies or to escape the flaring verbal and physical abuse. At least one of them was at the store during all hours of my shift. Oh joy...

It's kind of scary how many people there are like this running around, a trip to Moab is an enlightening experience in more ways than one. It is immediately apparent who has grown up there - and some people would have you believe that mining uranium is not that unhealthy...
