I know people think I'm strange when I say this, but my all time favorite fork was the Stratos LR-1 on my Bullit. Easy to service, the lock out let me ride uphill without issue, it was the amazingly plush, 180 degree steering, and was under 8 pounds with 35mm stanchions and 6.5 inches of travel.

My 888 feels real nice too, but I've only had it a few weeks.

XC/Trail: Marzocchi Marathon. Light, stiff, plush, reliable, and good damping

DJ/Street: Marzocchi MX Comp. It's technically a trail fork but works great for me. I see people on Floats for DJ use and always wonder why they're not on this fork. When set up stiff it's awesome.

All-mountain/FR: Fox TALAS 36. This fork is awesome. So stiff and plush it's crazy, but develops a little play.

DH: Fox 40. stiff 'n plush

All time fave would have been my 02 Marzo Marathon Air...kicked the crap out of any other XC fork I've ridden. Light, plush, smooth, reliable, CHEAP, compression lockout...ah...it was beautiful.
