Does anyone else see the importance of the space program? anybody ever consider where we might be if we spent half as much money on it as wars and such?

I like to see where we'd be if we spent the money we spend on wars and space on medical research and curing cancer and AIDS etc.

What are my thoughts on the Space program?

Well, I did not know they were coming up with a program to deal with the acute lack of space many of us suffer from every day. Boy, those Feds, they think of everything. If this program will help me with the clutter in my house, I say, let's go fo it. Wait a minute. Is this going to raise my taxes?

We need the space program cuz one day, we'll find those cures and really screw ourselves over.

Saying we don't need to explore space is like saying there was no value to exploring the ocean.

i think a country like the US, with its priviliged position in world economy and affairs, should go for it, cuz they are one of the very few countries that can afford it, therefore its its responsability, as somehow the wealthy relative in the family, in the name of human progress.

absolutely, in fact i even think the us should be a technocracy, not a war-cracy, or corporate-cracy
