Nice pictures! EXIF has been stripped... is that an underwater housing for your Olympus SLR? Can't remember, you said you had an E-1 right?

Underwater flash/strobe, too, or just a spotlight of some kind?

Cool pictures whatever the setup was :)

Russian Frigate #356 or M/V Keith Tibbetts.

Actually, it's not the E500 in a housing. The actual housing is about 1K, and strobes on top of that would push the bill closer to $1800. This is actually a purpose built Sealife 3.1 MP digital in an underwater housing with a wide angle lens and various macro lenses. Strobes are a pair of Sealife Digital flash units.

rob, have you been seeing any dead nurse sharks? I saw a bunch of both live and dead ones when I dove the Florida keys back in march. Kinda unnerving, and very sad. They are beautiful creatures. See any giant morays?

No dead sharks, and not many live ones for that matter.

We've seen a couple morays, and one big bastard today (7 foot or so) free swimming over the reef. Hope the photos came out. I'll post a few more shortly.

Morays are beautiful, but still sorta ugly. When I was 14 I came close to losing part of my arm to one (another 7 footer) that was under a wreck off Key Largo. We kinda startled each other, and he was more pissed off at me.

Hrm. I know there's one in the Keys named Kermit. He's a big mother.

What wreck were you down on?

Can't remember the name of it, it was like 8 years ago. It was a wide, low cargo ship in maybe 30~40 feet of water. Nothing super special but it was first (and only) wreck dive.

Love the pics of the Canadian navy there Rob.;) Lovely job though really, you'll have to get yourself over to Queensland so you can visit the big daddy of all coral reefs.

awesome pics rob.. thanks for sharing!!!!!
How long have you been diving for?? what level are you up too??
I've been diving for about 4 years now. I'm Advanced Open Water, Nitrox and Drysuit certified currently. I'm looking to add Search and Rescue, Advanced Nitrox, Trimix, Tec, and Wreck to the list sometime in the future.

Would be nice to take the Divemaster test as well. ;)
