Well back in my BMX days I always ran 175's. Now I have 170's on my DH bike and 175's on my Everything else bike. I don't notice much of a difference on either bike.

I see lots of 165mm cranks for sale (would be going on a P1) but I dunno if 165mm is too short. Only recently have I started seeing them pop up. I'm 5'11 with no real long length to my legs or anything, just pretty standard in size.

Just wondering what size cranks most of you guys run on your 4x/DJ bikes?

I actually have 180mm on my DJ bike. The guy at the local shop hooked me up a deal I couldn't refuse. I was a bit nervous at first, but they are really nice. I run them on a 24" specific, I don't think they'd work well on a 26" (you probably would have trouble throwing X-up's.)

I always ran 175mm on my 26" dj/4X bike. You only need shorter cranks if you have a low BB height, or if you use them on a DH bike (rock/tree/etc clearence)

I previously used 181mm cranks on my bmx exclusively. Now I tend to run 175 cranks on most things.
on my LeToyIII I have to turn my foot slightly for xups.. or it will hit.
So maybe I should probably run shorter cranks.. but I don't worry 'bout the little things.. I just ride what I have and call it a day.

180mm Federals on my DJ/Street bike right now. But they feel a bit long, probably go down to 175 or 170 for my next set.

i run 180mm on my bmx bike. I ran 180 on my 26" mtn/dj bike for alittle while and liked it enough. I'd probably put em back on if my 175mm cranks broke.
