Since a new season is just beginning, how long will it be before the Cancellara doping rumors start to fly?

On a positive note, I read that the UCI is suing that dick Pound for libel and slander for his wild, irresponsible diatribes in the past, accusing them of being soft on doping. I'd love to see him totally discredited; he's such an ignorant, opinionated loudmouth. Hard to believe he's Canadian.

I was surprised to see Cancellara come out with the win this weekend. I knew he was looking good from Tirreno and ToC this year, but I figured it'd be another bunch sprint in the end. Man, what do you do when one guy can just ride away from everyone without any help?

The new guy is former Australian finance minister John Fahey. He's already been talking to International Olympic Committee president Jacques Rogge, who "pledged his full support to the World Anti-Doping Agency after meeting its new leader."

According to Reuters, he said "one of his priorities would be to put pressure on governments that had not yet ratified the UNESCO convention against doping in sport."

Unlike his sociopathic predecessor, he sounds like a reasonable guy, who might be able to get the job done without insulting everyone he comes into contact with and spouting forth uninformed opinions and accusations.

Great win for Cancellara!! Incredible that he could just get a jump and ride away from such a talented and motivated pack. With a couple of rainbow jerseys, P-R, and this he is racking up a seriously impressive palmares.
