I've got Mavic 819's going strong on at least 3 bikes at home including my SS, XC, and AM bikes. Next bike's getting the DT TK 7.1ds, but only cus the Mavic 29er rim isn't out (yet).

Mavic has a cheaper 29'r disc rim out currently, the A317 I think its called. Their touring rim(A719) is probably the best rim to use on a 29'r right now though it has a braking surface so doesn't look as cool. Double eyelets still make alot of their rims better then the DT's.

Sorry, didn't mean to derail this to 29ers. I know the thread is about a decent 26" rim, but in response, I'm waiting for the new Crossmax 29er due out in a few months (from what I hear).
