What rims would you guys suggest i've been running singletracks on my trail bikes but i always knock them out of true and i hate maintenance (yes im lazy) I wish i could afford 721s (521s) but they are so expensive. Which would be great on a trail bike do you guys think? The new MTX, Singletracks (again maybe i just should have kept watch on my spokes), rhyno lites? Any suggestions on a good trail rim thatll last me?

What is the 519 called now? I've been beating on that for a while and like it.
Bang for your buck, Rhyno Lite can't be beat.
What do they retail for? $40-$50. Killer.

Take a look at the Salsa Gordo's

I'm a point and shoot type rider so wheels don't get along with me very well. I decided early in the year to give these rims a try after doing some research on them. They are pretty darn light, around the same width as say a 521, have eyelets, and are welded at the seam. And you can get them for around $35 each which is a steal.

Anyway, now that the season is over I must say that I'm damn impressed with this rim. I eventually killed the rear wheel around the end of the season, but that was after not touching the rim at all and the front rim is still as straight and true as the day I got it. And after replacing it with a rhyno lite xl which only lasted 6 days I'm even more impressed.

I will honestly say that I think that anyone considering the Mavic 521/721 should definately take a look at this rim.

i rode rhyno lites this season on my DH bike at N*. i am heavy and hard on my bike and they held up pretty well. the front wheel finally gave out when I slammed into a rock at mammoth but the rear wheel is still in pretty good shape.

I love my alex dx32s. They hold like crazy left to right (see: constant 180/360s)... I hear they can flat spot though. They are cheap to. $30-$40. Meh, you know what i do with a bike.

Telling people to use the search function is lame. If people only asked real hard/unique questions then what would i ever contribute to this board? :eviltongu

I just sold a set of Sun MTX rims laced to xt rear hub and Specialized 20mm front. I rode them once my bike fell 6 feet or so off of a ladder and bent the rear wheel. It was not my first bad exprience with Sun. I would run used Mavic rims/wheels before I would new sun.
