I finally get a whole weekend free to temporarily drop out of my responsible lifestyle and the VA Forum is effin' closed.
I don't know where the DC/MD/VA crowd posts now during these dark days of prohibition but if anyone has a clue, please tell me. Not that listserv, either, as it is now plagued by pornspammers. I am trying to figure out what kind of mischief I can get into next weekend(May 19/20) and want to consider all the options. I had planned on packing up the vehicle with a bike, tent, fishing rods and cooler full o' suds for a w/e of sinful anarchy but both of my regular riding buds have non-negotiable committments to attend to, i.e. a wedding and work.
Is anyone aware of any cool outdoorsy happenings within maybe 4-5 hours of Fredneck, MD next weekend? I'd rather not have to settle for local canned events like the DC 101 Chili Cookoff(which a number of my non-riding friends will be attending). Diablo would have been cool but I don't really want to race. Blacksburg/Brush Mt. would be cool but I'm not aware of anything going on...and I think school's out now. Any suggestions from what remains of the peanut gallery?
