36 spoke deemax rims, king hubs stans no tubes, WHAT TIRES?

I ride pretty aggressively, I like 8 -10' drops, flying down hills and some urban riding is going to be done as well. I have maxxis minion 2.35 40d slow reezays now. they work flawless, they suck on the street with the resistance and the wear.
I'd like a well rounded tire that hooks up as well or close with more life.
Do the 60d minions hook up almost as well as the 40d?
Conditions here, it's the N.W. so some rain. Its dry here most of the time. rocky and almost desert like terrain with loose ground, mountains and smaller squirrley tracks in the woods. No mud, good drops.
Any recommendations are appreciated especially with past experience.
Please post any tires to stay away from also and why.

Yeah, and I want a bike that will also make coffee and do my homework. If you want to do big drops, ride street and go up and down, compromises are the name of the game.

That being said: Comp 32? Are you serious? Great tire, way, way too big with too much rolling resistance for this application. If you want to stick with Maxxis, I'd go for Minion 2.35s or High Roller 2.35 in 60D.

I usually run Michelin or Kenda, which both wear pretty well in my experience, with a slight edge to Michelin. My favorite all-time tire is the Comp 16 2.2. For dry conditions, you could run a Comp16 front/Comp 24 rear or even dual 24s to get a really fast rolling combo. A 60d maxxis would probably roll better than either {edit: I meant to type "last longer" better they might roll better too since they are probably smaller and have a harder compound}, however.

For Kenda, the 2.35 Blue Groove would be a good choice and comes in both single ply and DH casing. For your riding, it sounds like the DH casing would be better. Great tire for all around and dry conditions. Not a bad price either; can be had for about 35 bones online.

mine does make coffee and breakfast, I just am tired of the no creamer so A need a new set that put a little spice into the mornings.

You could always run a Minion R in the rear and then something with a bit more grip like a High roller in the front.

There's always the option of a semi-slick on the back as well. I know Kenda has a larger volume semi-slick and I wanna say Maxxis makes high roller semi-slicks in a 2.35 size. I run that on my XC'ish bike (2.35 front, 2.1 semi-slick) in the rear and it's fine. It's nice being able to pedal sometimes :)

Hmm.....You are asking alot of DH related tires to go onto street, jumps, trails, everything in such large sizes (2.35+). I'd go 2.5 front/2.35 rear and pick a fast rolling rear tire.

The 60d will/won't in cases hook up as good as a 40d. The softer rubber does help but if you're riding alot of hard pack surfaces a 60d/50d tire should be fine.

the 60d's will be fine, softer rubber is better for gripping wet rock and wet roots, only forracing would I get a 40 or 42d, even 50 wears a little fast.

Says it all...you love the minions but they wear out too quickly for you on the street. Try the super tacky(42) or maxx pro(60) compounds.
The 42 compound seems alot more harder wearing than the 40 though, but the 60 will last you ages.
The compound on the comp 24(pretty much same as minion) is about 50.
