What is the best freeride bike/frame to start DH racing with?

Mind you, i still want to be able to pedal. and I want to do freeride with it too. I'm trying to keep the build under 3000, with the purchase of a 888RC2X...

Help me out here. I've been doing xc riding and have started to do freeride and downhill. It's kinda hard on a 5" travel all mountain bike.

    thanks,
    jt.

i've got a bullit frame on the way to me right now... thanks ebay! it will see racing, trail riding, "free"riding... can't wait! i'm coming from riding/racing a 5" trailbike as well. while the AC served me very well, i hope to move up a class and ride even faster on the bullit.

Big Hits are great. Two of my friends have Trek Session's and love them.
