yeah... I bought one on his reccomendation...I thought @kidwoo was vouching for that compound? Does he never ride wet shit or something?
I mean, I don't, so maybe it would be the ticket for Front Range...

He's in the Sierras. It goes from dry to snowy without a wet season in between. Even when it rains the soil is so dry and dusty it only stays wet for a day or two.Does he never ride wet shit or something?
I just don't buy dumb tires like hillbillysI thought @kidwoo was vouching for that compound? Does he never ride wet shit or something?
2.6 Butcher?I just don't buy dumb tires like hillbillys
That's wet rock and roots though. Maybe they suck in mud? Maybe dapeach needs to realize he can run a tire that big about 5-8 psi lower than he normally does?
I'm running the 2.5 DHF DD out front at the moment and it's a good one, but it's on the heavier side of things.Yeah, 2.3 to 2.6 is a big jump.
While we're asking Santa for stuff, the trail bike tire that I really want is a 2.4 DHR 2 in the stickier 3C compound, Exo. The 2.5 DHF in that rubber is great, but the DHR definitely brakes better, as a tread pattern.
Michelin WR2, GumX.Is there a hard compound or bike park compound in Doubledown/Reinforced/whatever strong sidewall (~1000g) by any manufacturer?
I’ve been riding so much this year, that rear tire longevity has become an issue, and sticky rubber isn’t super necessary in the rear here.
EDIT: it looks like even DH tires in 27 and hard compound are scarce. I guess my choices are 3C DD or getting lucky on an oem DH on closeout somewhere.
Michelin WR2, GumX.
only to throw at @Toshi's head when I see him on his moped.
I want a size between those stupid 2.6s and the little 2.3s they make.
Maxxis Dual compound is bloody hard if they still make thatIs there a hard compound or bike park compound in Doubledown/Reinforced/whatever strong sidewall (~1000g) by any manufacturer?
They do but not in the DD casing as far as I can see.Maxxis Dual compound is bloody hard if they still make that
Aggressor can be had in 650b DD dual comp. Good dry conditions tire. They do but not in the DD casing as far as I can see.
I only looked at the Minions. Good find. The Agressor is a fun, fast rolling rear tire if you don't mind the rear end stepping out randomly.Aggressor can be had in 650b DD dual comp. Good dry conditions tire.
That's what she said! After enduring this whole topic, it ain't the casing, it's the rider.

You want harder than the Gum-X? Maybe just try home vulcanizing whatever tire you want then? That's what I'm on right now, and want something to last longer. I meant a harder compound than these
carbon rim? knife in the trail?Managed to pinch flat a 2.3 Exo DHF directly through a side knob today. Cut the knob right in half.
Carbon rim, and a pretty hard hit on a root at speedcarbon rim? knife in the trail?
Jury's still out but up to this point I was loving these tires.So... does that tire belong in this thread or another one?
Isn't it only 30g or so heavier than normal Exo? I'm skeptical that that can make that much of a difference, but I'd love to be proven wrong.EXO+ seems interesting.
