I guess my question is who still has a working turn table?
I've got one, but haven't turned it on in years.
i've still got one. a really basic Rotel (no autoreturn even), w/ a nice Sumiko BluePoint cartridge. it sounds good.

converting vinyl to digital is a time-consuming pain in the arse, though.

AHAHAH! I had that on a 45! You got the ALBUM of disco duck???
It was a Disney thing, not sure if it was even the same Disco Duck song that Rick Dees did that you had. There were other great songs on it like Macho Macho Mouse.

First album was a Disney one that I played on my Disney record player....

First cassette was Survivor- Eye of the Tiger
I had a bunch of Disney records and Christmas records when I was little.

I think the first cassette I bought was Def Leppard's Pyromania or Hysteria.

Hysteria, Def Leppard. Oh yeah, it was a tape!
By babysitter gave it to me as a Christmas present in 3rd grade. I was terrified that my parents would take it away b/c of the lyric, "When you make love..." in Love Bites. I know thats random, but its funny how my idea of offensive song lyrics have changed over the last 20 or so years.
