Had this one recommended to me. www.veoh.com Download the player and you can get the video in the format they were uploaded in. I've d/loaded a few, connected to the TV and was surprised by the quality. Content is lacking and as vid length is not capped I can't see it lasting but anyway.
Anything you guys recommend in the "similar to you-tube" type field?

forget the name but theres an extraction tool to get the avi and wav from the flv, then a plugin for virtual dub mod to get the same quality as the original. then u can just encode it as ud like

youtube is what it is because of the content and the active userbase, much as how facebook is the current social networking champ because everyone uses it. it's not because the technology is any better or worse: it works well enough, and that's all that it takes. joe sixpack doesn't care if he can download poorly produced home videos in their original format
